I would say the only complaints would be a little better gas mileage (or a bigger gas tank) & could we have a small windscreen please, otherwise, a great bike
Time to look into a ECU reflash, i believe its what Fz-09 guys have done and with it being out for that long, those guys would be a great reference point.
Has anyone here started to look into reflashes?
I got a chuckle out of this when reading all you guys say that cause I get 18mph when riding the canyons on my Ninja H2 and even less at the track. To me the fz10 goes forever :wink2:I would say the only complaints would be a little better gas mileage
i chuckles even harder since coming from a history of cars that drink way more fuel for much less fun, that really puts it in perspective and makes you appreciate even what might be the least fuel efficient motorcycleI got a chuckle out of this when reading all you guys say that cause I get 18mph when riding the canyons on my Ninja H2 and even less at the track. Personally unless the tire monitor system was easily serviced I wouldn't want one again. The system on my Concours 14 was ridiculous cost wise when the internal battery died.Yep at least a little better gas mileage. Maybe one more option on the dash. A air pressure tire monitor system like in my car.lol. I was out all afternoon on my FZ10 in my mtns and just love this bike.Stopped for a few minutes on top of blood mtn. Bunch of sport riders up there. As my friend and I pulled in one guy says, that's that bad ass FZ10. It was real quite when We pulled back out so I made sure they heard the amazing sound of the Cross Plane engine as it spewed out my Graves slipon. It's good to be the sound king, lol.
BUT, with the amount the enthusiast rides around everywhere, it'll equal out the fuel consumption. But the fun levels... well, there's no comparing that :wink2:i chuckles even harder since coming from a history of cars that drink way more fuel for much less fun, that really puts it in perspective and makes you appreciate even what might be the least fuel efficient motorcycle
If you get a response other than "thats the noise of a cross-plane 4 engine" please let me know. I have the same ticking and everyone I come across says its normal.I have one thing I don't like about my 17 FZ10 and that is the ticking engine sound. Cold or hot, it's loud. I can easily hear it thru my helmet.
I have 1100 miles now, so it's broken in and still the same.
I need to see what the dealer says.
Otherwise, awesome bike.
I laughed when I read this. I think it says allot about the FZ-10 coming from someone that also owns a H-2. I did almost pick one up at our local dealer that had a good chunk discounted since it was an older model year but better sense and the desire to live a bit longer won outI got a chuckle out of this when reading all you guys say that cause I get 18mph when riding the canyons on my Ninja H2 and even less at the track. Yep mine is ticking away at start up also. 2,200 miles later it's slightly louder. I had this same issue on my new 09 cross plane R1. It started at about 1100 mi. They had a customer complain recall on the cam chain tensioner. If a Customer complains only on the noise, but not a actual recall. If a customer complained about the noise they put a new updated cam chain tensioner in. I do have slight concerns on my FZ10's tensioner also. Time will tell. It goes away after warm any way.I have one thing I don't like about my 17 FZ10 and that is the ticking engine sound. Cold or hot, it's loud. I can easily hear it thru my helmet.
