I've been mulling over the possibility of an FZ-10. My wife really likes to ride pillion with me, we've owned an SV, cbr, concours14 and an R1, of all of them she preferred the R1 which surprises me. I had a Corbin passenger seat and a two up passenger grab bar set up for her. We both needed to take a break after about an hour of riding however.

This time around I want to get a bike a bit more comfortable for the both of us but something with some performance. I don't want to hunch over on an SS anymore. I've even considered cruisers, mainly the Indian scout bobber. I know the FZ isn't a sport tourer, will it work for short 1-3 hour rides? Anyone in a similar experience? Any mods help?

Well I do alot of two up rideing on my FZ10. I definitely bought the Yamaha comfort seat. It is a little more wider for the passenger. Most of our rideing is in the mountains with twisty roads. After about 60 or so miles we usually pull over some where. No problem. I also got the 39L Yamaha rear trunk with back rest for the long haul but mostly use a small bag on the rack, but she barley rests on it. I had a raider before and she is actually more comphy on my FZ10. This is the bag I use. Oh, I also installed 40mm adjustable passenger peg mounts to lower her feet slightly. I got them on ebay.

Not sure if any of you guys are aware, the pegs from an MT09 Tracer ones fit straight on are are approximately 2 inches longer.

DPM Race also make brackets which take the pegs 46 mm downwards, 33 mm backward and 28 mm outwards
