Just picked up a new FZ10 yesterday. The deal was too good to pass up. Only got 12 miles on it, literally just rode home from the dealer. I live in Southern California, so plenty of ride time ahead.

I have been riding a long time (35+ years), and had a lot of bikes from motocross, to cruisers, to sportbikes. I had a 1st Gen FZ1 and several R1's, including a cross plane crank year, so quite familiar with Yamaha.

Ready to start making it mine, already have a few things on order!

Thanks for the welcome. So far I have deleted the rear pegs and installed a Vagabond tail tidy, ASV shorty levers, Yamaha comfort seat, swing arm spools for my Pit Bull stand and a red carbon fiber license plate frame.

Still trying to decide on a screen, leaning toward a Givi sport. Next purchase will be bar end mirrors so I can see something other than my armpits, and a new lid. My Shoei X-eleven has seen better days, and AGV ti-tech padding is thrashed.

Thats awesome and welcome to the forum. You sure were lucky to find a comfort seat in stock, I've had one on order for 2 months supposedly waiting for it to get here from japan.
I had no problem at all. Got it from eBay, new in the box and quite a bit less than MSRP.

Congrats, if you haven't done so yet really shop around for insurance. For whatever reason companies are all over the board on the FZ-10
I've had motorcycle insurance for 20+ years so my rates are fairly steady. I was told a few years back that a lot of insurance companies don't want to insure bikes so offer an outrageous price to deter you. I got quoted a rate in a Hayabusa one time that was more that the cos
t on the bike new.
