Armor Grey and just hit 100 miles today. Traded in my KTM 950 SM 2007. Loving the bike and cant wait to wake up the bike with the PC, Akra, and get the cosmetic basics sorted.

Insurance

Also thought that at $130/ mo from American Modern I'm doing pretty dang good for insurance on this thing as a single male 23.
Welcome to the forums and congratulations, would love to see some pictures !

But holy moly that's some cheap insurance indeed.
Welcome.

Were there any other bikes you were considering before deciding to get the FZ-10? Maybe bikes to choose from these days especially for those open to a range of bikes.
But nothing that looks as good and unique as these do ;)

of course but there are so many things to look at and consider and what one looks for in a bike varies a lot so it's just one of those things i'm always interested in hearing.
Most definitely. I'm actually quite interested to see what people came over from and what brought them to it.
The super Duke I was quoted at $280/mo for insurance and that was the biggest reason I didn't go that route and for me at 6'6 the Tuono was too aggressive for what I wanted.
I'll probably get a super Duke in a year still though.
But I was always attracted to naked bikes and the top contenders were all looked at. Super Duke just fell behind because of insurance cost not being something I felt was right. Especially considering what I have for this thing. To me engine noise is like the number one factor when purchasing something so obviously this fit the bill. Although I really really miss the perfect brakes and raw attitude I had from my 950 SM. I do feel these brakes are pretty crappy honestly. But I'll get a super Duke later just because I love the different engine characteristics and the city riding I mainly do the V - Twin is perfect for.

I noticed the whole naked bike segment as a whole is growing so much that even brands like KTM have gone into entry-level segments to offer them and other brands are following to some extent.

Interesting times for the motorcycling world.
