I am the new proud owner of an FZ10...VIN #94 and the only one in Iowa (so I am told). Bought it 5 weeks ago when I spotted it in the local Yamaha dealership and had to have it. My current bikes are a 2014 Kawasaki Concours 14 and a 2015 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 (green of course).

I've got about 2,500 miles on it and took it down to Florida for some high speed riding against my best friend's Hyabusa where he quickly learned that the FZ10 can out accelerate his until about 120'ish MPH and then the benefits of his fairing take over.

Well, the Concours is meant for putting on serious miles in comfort, accelerates deceptively quickly while protecting you from the wind. The Ninja's motor is smoother than the FZ but doesn't make near the HP but fun to ride. Now...the FZ is viceral compared to the other two bikes. Content to putter around town in standard mode but reminds the rider it wants to be let out and ridden hard. Pulls like nothing I've ever owned before (could use a wind screen at speeds over 130 mph) and gets the attention no matter where I park it. Even those who don't know much about bikes will come up and remark that it looks fast just standing still. My favorite bike for sure. Now for a ride.

Glad to hear. I can only imagine how many people come up to you just to look at it. What did that one person say, it looks like a transformer or something lol. But it deserves the attention. Do you plan on getting a windscreen for it ?

I plan on buying the windscreen next year. They are around 120.00 but want to wait a little and see if other manufacturers offer some variety.

I'd be interested in looking into hard saddlebags that are rumored to be out there someplace, but I haven't found anyone who sells them.

Picture of my bike.

I have added an airhorn (Wolo Bad Boy) to the lower right side and told a few unsuspecting pedestrians that it was my turbo charger. Throws out an awesome amount of noise and is far safer than the stock horn. I've put this airhorn on everybike I own and it's woken up a few cagers over time. Tried to locate it in less conspicuous locations on the bike but there is simply no place to hide it so I unbolted on of the upper engine mounts and slipped this on. Requires that you install the small relay it comes with but works perfectly.

Can you please do a write up on how you installed it? I'm having trouble installing mine especially with the relay wiring.

Thank!

I also ordered a horn to install on my bike, save yourself the headache guys and just get the wiring harness for this. I blew the fuse for the turn signals and tail light and now need to locate the fuse box.
