I'm a bit confused here..You are in Texas and you have an MT-10? I was under the impression that the model MT was for bikes in Europe and here in the States it is FZ..
Can someone shed some light on this for me?
Congrats on the new bike dude, looks awesome. You have any plans for modification? And in the UK its known as the MT-10 and here in the U.S its the FZ-10. May just be what he/ the dealer is used to referring to the bike as. Its the same bike, so the MT/FZ nameplate doesn't really matter.
The bike is awesome so far! I started out with 2002 Suzuki bandit 600s and rode it 11yrs. Then I switched over to the 2013 Yamaha raider which I still have and plan on keeping. Talk bout a powerhouse. Mines making 100hp and 117lbs tq at the rear wheel. I run a Avon 240mm tire and It can sure lay down some rubber. Then got a 2004 Suzuki katana 600 that I just sold and picked me up the new MT-10 in matte gray. So far I did womet frame sliders and TST rear fender eliminator and motodynanmic intergrated brake/signal/tail light. Wanting to go with yoshimura Alfa t 3/4 exhaust and 2wdw flash soon.
So as far as name of the bike (model) fz-10 was 1yr only here in the States. Wonder why Yamaha would do that, or if they are just correcting a mistake for 2017. If I had to guess I'd say they wanted to introduce the new bike into the the very successful fz-07 fz-09 family and for some reason changed their mind.
In any case that kind of leaves us with a rare model (by name only) if you want to look at it that way..
