Maybe you guys have already heard of this, but Yamaha is coming out with a MT-10 Tourer Edition. I was reading a bit about it on RideApart and the touring edition doesn't really sound all that special. And all the accessories found on the touring model can be individually ordered from the accessories catalog.

Not sure why Yamaha is giving buyers what they can already do themselves.

Yes and it's funny they mentioned that Yamaha revised the mapping in all three power mods for a smoother throttle responce for touring? Hmm!

I guess it's for the buyers that aren't so hands-on or just don't have the time to really order all the parts individually and install them. Tons of reasons why lol.

While I did buy the various things I wanted I could see an advantage to having it already done, but there were some nice personal touches I was able to decide on that you wouldn't have with a package deal so I 'm good with that.

It's just for the guys/gals that want to buy it, start it, and ride. Life made easy and seamless for them and no waiting on parts or installing anything themselves. The advantage? Time saving. Time is crucial for some.
