Motorcycle Insurance

At first I was surprised at the rate increase from my current company which is State Farm but after getting quotes from pretty much anyone else I would trust it ended up being the lowest.

With really decent coverage and deductibles I'm looking at just a bit over 1000.00 a year for the insurance.

I got quotes from Progressive, Esurance, Geico, and every single one was significantly higher with Esurance being the highest at almost 2000.00 a year.

To put that in perspective my last bike was right about 650.00 a year but was significantly NOT a FZ-10.

My understanding is that the size of the engine makes a huge difference in your premium. A few things can lower it, such as age, years with license, and history of driving record.

True, I qualify for all the discounts since my license for my motorcycle was obtained in 1976, perfectly clean driving record not even a parking ticket, and I'm an old fart as well :)
I'm 19 and it $98 a month for full coverage with a $1,000 deductible. Considering progressive wanted $248 its best to shop around. :D
