Received an email today from FZ-10.Org that basically said unless people started posting as much as they were reading it wouldn't be feasible to keep the board up.

Let's not let this get to that point as I am sure most would agree there is a limited amount of people posting on here as well. I personally stopped going to FZ-10.Org after about a month of being a member because it was so glacial that it was painful.

I know some people have joked that I post too much, but hopefully they will see what can happen when you don't post at all. Many people are against posting in Off Topic as well because they feel "it's a motorcycle forum" we don't want to talk about anything else.

You cannot look at it in that manner. You have to look at these forums as a community and all it has to offer. Yes our primary focus is the FZ, but there are many other topics and discussions where people can learn from others and offer insight an opinions on various topics keeping within the moderators rules and the rules of the board.

In closing I wish to thank the people that work to keep this up and those responsible for providing us with a forum to come to that costs us nothing. Hopefully others feel that way too.

I agree with you 100%, if you have something to even vent about, that's what the off-topic is for and it still generates buzz. We're a community here and we're here for everyone! Our own little online family if you will :)

Give it a little more time and the buzz is going to generate this forum up more and more especially with the other shutting down.

I don't know the guys at FZ.org, and I don't wish them any ill will, but realistically it's going to be tough to keep two forums going for the same bike, especially given that there's a pretty small number of the bikes out there (it's not like this is an R1 Forum LOL). Personally I like the layout of this forum better, so I'm more likely to post here than there.

Not 2 but 3
Actually the "older" and alive forum it`s :

Yamaha MT10 Forum, Yamaha FZ10 Forum
I saw that forum as well, but just assumed that it was mostly those wankers across the pond. LOL (actually just logged on there and there's 32 guys in the MT-10 portion of the forum, and 1 person in the FZ-10 portion, so it does seem like there's a lot more activity from our eastern brethren than from here).

Honestly, I like this forum a lot (except for Dave in Woodland...>:)). I'd like to see a search feature for members by location; we had that on another forum I was on and it was a great way to meet other people in your area.

At least this thread is a start to it. Now we can self moderator that much better. The best communities are those that self moderate. No good if its get so bad we depend on the mods and admins a lot, although they should play a small roll.
