Got the mounts on and ready to go (after the Loctite PITA), good design by the way and don't look half bad by themselves if you wanted to drive without bags attached.

What my thought was is once the bags are on and I am out and about in the world I wonder if that will be the ultimate sleeper set up?

You know, bike with bags, not a cruiser looking bike but what is it?

If I were going down the street and saw it with the bags on I would likely never think "That's a high performance bike"... Hmmmm may be some fun is in my future.

What bags did you get?
I decided on the Shad SH36 after another person here recommended them and I had looked at the Givi system. Yamaha puled their OEM bags which was ok these are much better then they were.

They can fit an entire full face helmet which is more then either the Givi or the OEM Yamaha.

Man those look nice. I just can't justify forking that much over for a one time trip for myself. 😬
I tend to use bags more for every day junk that I used to use a backpack for. That just gets tedious to me especially when the wind tugs on it at freeway speeds.

I really don't do any long trips anymore either but these will work for 2-3 days vs. the two week ones I used to do. They ended up being right around 630.00 with the mounts and bags.

Actually they were quite a bit less then the smaller Givi system too.

Could you get a few pics of your set up, side and a rear pic. I like them. Got a sporty look to the bags. I really hate those square hard bags on them fuel sport bikes.yukk.

I'm posting in your thread so that I can get to the magical 15 post count where I can PM people other than the moderator (stupid rule) LOL

Thanks for the link on the bags. What made you choose that model over the Blaze's that SW-Motech also sells?

I did like the Blazes, but there were some issues I had with them trying to get an idea when they were going to be available and I didn't feel like going through the tedious order them from the UK route.

I also like the fact that Shads are a bit bigger then the blaze although a bit more money too.
