So I finnaly installed one more after market exhaust system today after work. I know this set up is not as fancy looking as my Graves slipon sytem, but its gonna have to be a keeper for now. I cant get rid of the Danmoto Y pipe , but im sure my Graves slipon will go?
Now for the 14" oval carbon Delkevic full exhaust installation.Every thing went on smoothly. The end can is just like old school and very nicely made. The first thing I did was remove the baffle that comes with it before I even started the FZ10 up so I can get a noise comparo. IT sounds deep and not to loud at all. I knew the 9" can was gonna be too loud and the 18" can probably too quiet for me with the baffels out of them.I went around the block and it seems there is a ever so fine flat spot just off idle. Could be me but I think I lost a tiny bit of lowend TQ or feel? Could be because it revs quicker, not sure. so I then put the baffle in and it was just a tad louder than my Graves slipon and stock cat Y pipe. Also the tone was not as deep. Probably good if you want to go on a many days trip out a state? So I took it for the same test in my RV resort roads and it seems to pick up that small amount of Tq I feel I lost with the open can. So I took out the baffel and again I went for another quick spin, I know im anal,LOL. Well I think ill leave the baffel out for now. Ill take it for a ride hopefully Sunday maybe, we getting snow? This system on my bath room scale is rite at 4or5lbs. Bath room scales aren't that accurate. So its not a heavy system at all and saved me 11-13lbs over stock. Now one thing I noticed is that it makes B mode more desirible to use , especially off the line as it picks up the TQ that I think ive lost with the flowing Y pipe.Again, this could just be me? Ill definitly be getting the ECU flash as soon as I get my TAX refund in Feb,LOL. But rite now im happy with this system and for me the cost was reasonable. But Ill miss my beautiful Graves slipon end can :nerd
