How many posts do I need to make before I can include images?

Sorry for the hiccup. It's in place as an anti spam measure. Bot accounts were getting on the site and posting images and links. At the moment, this is the most effective method we have for blocking them.

is there a 'published' number of the counts needed before the account lock is released? Might help future members so they know...

Always thought it was something low like 10 or 15.

It's been a while for me but it would be helpful if they put the actual number needed on the little notice thing that comes up and says you can't post images yet.

The other fz10 .org forum lets everyone upload pics directly into posts right away and they don't seem to have any bot issues.

Hey guys,

We keep the number hidden from the public to keep the Spammer oblivious.
If we put the number out there, it will not deter Spammer's from posting to reach that limit.

We want to avoid that.

I wish other sites I am a member of did this. One site in particular is horrible on the weekends when the spammers seem to be busier.

You can always reach out to the mods/admins of that site with this suggestion - I'm sure they would appreciate it. You can tell them its advanced options based on post counts so a member cannot post images/links/reply to threads/send PMs unless they've reached x amount of posts. They can choose whatever # they feel is reasonable.
