We're all probably familiar with the process of changing a motorcycle's oil, but if anyone wants a bit of a refresher, TheMattHatter uploaded a video guide.

Thanks for the video. This will definitely be helpful for people who aren't familiar and want to take a crack at it rather than taking it to a shop. We should have a DIY section here so we can keep track of How-To videos

DIY's like this help a lot since if your just following a written guide or even the factory service manual it won't tell you specific things important to do the job properly, things that tech's would know. Overall it just gives you the location and what to remove, not the in's and out's you would learn from doing it the first couple times yourself.

Motorcycles are a learning process even if you've been riding for years. Didn't think to add some anti-seize compound on drain bolt threads until this video.

Anti-seize on a drain plug is completely unnecessary. Drain plug bolts don't get seized, they get over-tightened or cross threaded. Anti seize won't help either of those situations therefore pointless.

I think some people even make it a habit to change the drain bolts every change or every few oil changes OR whenever they see it starting to show signs of wear, all depends on the owner/service guy
