Bah I just posted this in new members when it probably should have been here... Although I'm a new member too.

Just bought the black one yesterday. Aside from a dirt bike about 20 years ago this is my first bike. Haven't crashed it yet. Not scared of it at all. Taking it very slow and watching the break-in. Having such a great time with it.

The traction control is probably helping me a lot. For that I'm thankful. I can't wait to take the traction control off and get it out of STD mode. I have a feeling I'm a ways off on all of that.

Got it for $13k out the door.

From a dirt bike 20 years to a liter bike ?! That's dope my friend. Granted it's not as merciless and aggressive as an R1 but it is definitely a beast. Congratulations on grabbing a stunningly sinister bike !

First is some sort of luggage. Tried the tank bag for the FZ-09 but the mount was wrong. Looking at a simple tail bag at least for now just to get back and forth to work. Next thing I was thinking was maybe a seat just because I can feel the edge of the stock seat after a bit. I suppose a windscreen would be worthwhile but the wind isn't really messing with me too much. Granted the break-in has me staying at very respectable speeds. Tail tidy.

After all that and some time to get used to everything I'll do fun stuff. My buddy already made fun of the exhaust. He has an FZ-1 with a Two Brothers which I guess sounds okay. The stock FZ-10 still just sounds so good. I really liked the SP Engineering exhaust but we'll see what happens. A full exhaust setup would be nice. Lots of time before that. Once I do a couple of track days I'll figure out what else I'll need.
