Farewell VMax

I change my Vmax 2009 for the new FZ 10.
I was a real VMax fan:1985,1995,2005 (20 th anniversary ) and 2009.The 3 first were changed at 100,000 kms and at 60,000 kms the 2009 was added with a supercharger (GForce division ).13,000 kms later the pain in my back was really no fun si I changed for a FJ 09 to go to Blue Ridge Parkway (at that time the FZ was not on the market in Quebec). But when I came back it was.One ride was enough:the power, the sound and the suspension = happiness.
6,000 kms later winter time ...
A special bike for sure...

Welcome aboard. My 2017 FZ10 is my fifth FZ. Had four FZ1's before this one.
I brought my FZ-10 in Columbus, Ga. in September and I have vin # 00004.I am planning to hit the Dragon in late May. Anybody want to meet up then?

Maybe,I could hit your riding spot ... Blood Mountain, since that is on my way up there to the Dragon.
No you're not the oldest here, come April I'm turning 69. Of course, once I fire off my Beast, I'm only 20.
And here I thought I was the oldest at 56 riding my FZ10. VIN #94
What part of the VIN # tells you its build order? Is it the last 4 digits I'm guessing? Mine is 1574 if that's the case. To keep on topic, I too ditched my V-Max to get an FZ. Worlds apart but both really great bikes.

Nice!! Thanks for making me feel young at 46 guys!!! LOL
Always wanted to ride a V-Max. Love my FZ too though. I'll be 60 in November so at least I'm not the oldest fart here. But close :)

That V-Max was a helluva bike, I kinda wish I hung on to it but I just know that I am not a 2 bike guy. I have a hard enough time finding/making time to ride one bike. You may indeed be an "older" fart but let's not call you and "OLD" fart just yet, lol. I will be 46 in a couple of weeks and it makes me feel good knowing that older guys are riding this bike. My son picked on me and told me that I was too old for that bike, said it was for "young" people, lol. The little punk!

The V-Max was/is an iconic bike and I am glad I got to own one. It had a bad rap for being ill handling, I didn't find that to be the case really. I knew not to push it beyond what it was built to do. It handled FAR better than any Harley but a refrigerator on an appliance dolly handles better than most Harleys, lol!

That's funny cause I tell people that since I turned 60 years young I had to sell my cruiser ( Raider ) and get back on a naked sport bike before I start looking like a Santa clause on a harley, lol. .
