Hello Everyone!
Traded my XSR900(awesome bike, loved it) yesterday with 2017 fz10.
Right from the beginning Engine trouble warning light was on, and it is still on after 266KM!
Yes, that's how far the dealer was from my place ;)

I did not have time to check with dealer, I assumed it will go off as bike was brand new.

Did anyone experienced same issue?
We have another dealer in the city, will check also with them Monday.

located in Halifax, NS, Canada

Thanks!

Well I hope its something stupid. I have almost 9,000 mi on my 2017 FZ10 now,Buy I'm going to be buying my third battery. First one took a poop at 1200 mi. This morning I went to start her up because it's been sitting for 3 weeks under the bike tent. Apparently I left the bike locked in park mode. Even though I don't have the rear turn signals hooked and the blaster tail lamp the battery is toast and has a dead short in it even after a charge. Headed to Wally world to get a wet battery this time and I will always keep the battery tender hooked up from now on.

I barely have 290 KM on my FZ10 but I havent had issues with the Engine. Battery, Yes, I Hope ive seen the last of it though, I bought my bike on a Saturday, sat for a week because of travel, when i came back ...Dead! Absolutely nothing would come on, checked connections and nothing. Jumped it, started but dide shortly thereafter bought the battery tender and dont take it off it unless im not home. Pretty annoying considering My last Yamaha never had battery issues.

Yeah I got lazy and stopped connecting the battery tender. I just don't understand why if the key switch is in park locking position and the rear turn signals are not on ,it still draws juice from the battery? I never held a volt meter to actually confirm this. But once them gel batteries are totally drained its 50-50 if they will either accept a charge or short themselves out. I work on electric fork lifts and the small ,for pallet trucks, batteries have the same problems.:nerd:
