Probably oldest guy on the forum(5 yrs.younger than God).Rode a lot of bikes growing up on the farm from mini, enduros to 400 cc two strokes.Rode HD product the last four years.Threw cash like crazy into the last bike and still didn't have the ride I wanted.
My son has the fz07 which got me hooked.Last cple.weeks have been on a KTM 1290 super duke,Ducati Monster 1200r.Did not like the Monster much, was not gonna lay out another 6K on the KTM although it is sweet but didn't want to roll the dice as far as reliability/mtce. costs.Went for Yamaha reliability and still good kick ass power.
I've had the 17' raven black for less then a week and love it.You couldn't knock the smile off my face with a 2"x4".doing a not so gentle break in yet and soon to dump oil after another 300 km,s yet.Hopefully loosens up a bit more but certainly isn't a tractor like HD as far as shifting. Will get QS kit definitely.Just like HD,you buy a bike factory lean for EPA then you have to mod it to get what you should have for performance...tsk.Anyway ,gonna bone up on this product.See ya,s on the road.

Welcome aboard. Im a young 60 and have been rideing street bikes since 1973 and also started on a two stroke twinn and tripples. I had 30 bikes in all and had alot of BIG bore Yamaha V-twinns since 1999. But I always came back to a naked style bike either way. I too can't wipe away my smile on my FZ10. And like any bike I had before , You buy the bike and make it your own as Yamaha says. Enjoy your new ride and keep rideing for as long as you can or want to.0:)
