This is the second time I registered.
I guess I forgot my password.

Picked up a new MT10 in California and rode it home to Florida.

I stopped at a dealer for my first Oil Change...great dealer in Palm Springs.

Rode with a friend north of Pheonix and on home to Florida.
Awesome bike .

Used Yamaha semi hard bags for luggage, and a tail bag from Nelson Riggs.
I expected to need a gas can, but mileage was great. The Yamaha side cases would have been all I needed.
As the title says I averaged 39.8 mpg. It was mostly interstate at about 80 mph.

I put a large seat pad from cycle gear on the drivers seat as the oem seat seemed too hard. I will order the yamaha seat.
The cycle gear silicone pad worked fine and for a really long trip I may consider it in addition to the Yamaha seat.
Naturally I added the tall Yamaha windshield.

I am awaiting the arrival of the Yamaha seat, radiator guard and the handwarmers.

Regards.

Yes high speed rideing is where the FZ,MT10 gets it's best gas mileage. Under 70 mph it gets the worst. Go figure.
